Kiddie Kandids

Happy 1st Father's Day

This past Sunday was the first Father's Day for the proud Daddy. We started the day by going to church and then went down town for lunch. It was nice just being together on this special day. In the late afternoon, we dipped are toes in the pool to cool off a bit. The weather has been scorching HOT!!!

Our Little Friend

As we get ready to move back to California, we realize that there are things about Austin we will greatly miss. At the top of the list is the deer that roam our neighborhood. Last summer we had a deer that would walk right up to us when we spoke to her. Her babies would stay behind, but she was so brave and would eat right from our hands. It has been just about a year now and she has returned. Here are some pictures of our little friend. She walked down our driveway, to the edge of our garage for a snack.

6 weeks old

Tristan turned six weeks old on Father's Day. He is changing more and more every day. Everyone says he looks like his Daddy and I agree. We are waiting to see what color his eyes will be. They are still so blue although we know they won't stay that way. This past week, he started to smile and it is just adorable. It seems as though he really knows his Mommy and Daddy when we talk to him.

One month old

Tristan is one month old today. I can't believe how fast this past month has gone. It feels like he was born yesterday. The month has been full of changing diapers, feedings, little sleep, and enjoying every minute with our beautiful baby boy.
We took Tristan to the doctor and he is doing great.
He now weighs 9lb 7oz. Chris and I don't want him to get any bigger. We started calling him our little snuggle bug because he always wants to be held. I love it, even though it is hard to get anything done. I bought a sling thinking it would help, but I have only worn it once so far and he was in a deep sleep at the time. I'm not so sure he likes it all that much yet. It might take some getting used to.

Aunt Leah and cousin Luke

The Oasis resturant overlooking Lake Travis. We will miss this view!!

Tristan and Daddy

My sister and her youngest son Luke came to visit this past weekend. It was great to hang out with my family. I miss everyone so much and am looking forward to much more time with them.
