Austin Baby Shower

Last weekend, my good friend Camille gave me a baby shower here in Austin. We had a lot of fun. We weren't sure how the weather was going to hold up since we had some rain off and on but it ended up being perfect out. I had a great time visiting with everyone.

Baby Shower

Last month we traveled to California for my baby shower that was given to me by the Grandmas. I had such a great time visiting with everyone and can't wait to move back. Thank you everyone for making my shower so special and for all the wonderful gifts. Thank you Rachelle for taking so many great pictures. I wish I could post them all.
Next time we travel back to California will be for the big move. Since our home is still on the market, we will be welcoming the birth of our new baby boy as a Texan. We didn't expect to be still living in Austin, but we love our Doctor and with Chris working from home, it doesn't seem so bad after all.
Since the shower, I feel like I have grown so much. My nights are becoming more and more sleepless with constant tossing to get as comfortable as possible and frequent trips to use the restroom. Other than feeling a bit more tired, I am doing pretty well. I definitely can tell the end is getting closer. I am beginning to think a lot about where and when I will go in to labor. Since I am planning on working until my due date, I wonder if I will be at work, the grocery store or if it will happen during the night. Who knows, all I can do is wait and see.

30 Weeks

Here are a couple of photos taken over this past weekend. I am beginning to look like I am carrying a basketball under my shirt. It's funny because I can't count the number of people I meet that ask if I am having a boy. Things are moving along well if I can now get rid of my annoying cough, I would be great. I caught a cold virus a few weeks ago and although I feel a ton better, my cough doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. It actually seems deeper then when it originally began and it is now going on week 3! To top it off, Chris has been dealing with a back injury for the past few weeks so all we seem to do is complain lately. :)
Next week we are flying back to California. I am so excited to see my friends and family. This will be my last plane trip before the baby arrives. It is weird to think he will be here so soon...
The next time back will hopefully be for good! Yes, we are still moving to CA, but no offers on the house yet. Believe me, everyone will know when we finally sell our home:)

29 Weeks

This past weekend we had the awesome opportunity to get a glimpse of our precious baby boy for the first time in 3D. It is so amazing how far technology has come and how clearly you can see your baby during the ultrasound. Justin was there to see his baby brother and the grandparents were able to watch live from their computer at home. We were very happy to be able to share this experience with them from so far away.
At first the umbilical cord was across his face and then he was hiding with his hands in front of his mouth but finally moved them at the end of our session. You will see his little foot to the left of his head in the first photo, he was rubbing his eye in the second one, yawning or maybe smiling in third, and his arm was bent up next to his head in the last photo.
Seeing him made us realize how fast this last trimester will go and how soon he will be here . We are now more excited then ever to meet him.

We have decided to use brown and blue as the main colors for the baby's room. These are swatches of different materials we are using. We found a lady who makes beautiful baby bedding, blankets, etc. Check out her website at www.cutiepatuttie.com . She makes some adorable baby items.

27 Weeks

Growing, Growing, Growing.... This last month has been a little rough. Although I feel great as far as the pregnancy goes, with my growing belly has brought some pain caused by my hernia. I went to see my Dr. because I have been in constant pain and unfortunately there is not much that can be done while I am pregnant. She referred me to see a surgeon and sent me home with a perscription for pain medication so that I can sleep a little better. I will most likely need surgery to repair the tear in my upper abdomen, just below my rib cage after the baby is born. Otherwise, I am feeling great. The baby is still very active. We can't believe we will have this little guy join our family in just three months!

Daddy and Mommy were acting silly at a birthday party for our good friend Jason.
